Culture24 has been publishing arts and heritage news, features and reviews for millions of online readers since 2001.

We cover the national venues and their blockbusters but just as importantly give voice to the thousands of smaller museums, galleries, archives, libraries and heritage sites battling for profile online.

Our staff writers and editors are NCTJ trained journalists and all share a love of culture – a combination that enables us to create clear and engaging copy for a range of audiences.

Culture24 offers two key editorial services:

  • Editorial commissions – strategy and content creation
  • Partner journalism internships – we recruit and manage a paid intern to support your project

Editorial content commissions

Lively, engaging and thoughtful editorial brings your website or campaign to life for your chosen audiences. Broad geographical and subject coverage, clever use of keywords, RSS feeds and regular updates work together to optimise search engine visibility and attract readers.

Culture24 can work with you to identify your target audiences, create an editorial strategy and deliver the content. Our competitive rates vary according to the project concerned.

Partner journalism internships

Occasionally Culture24 works with partner organisations to offer paid journalism internships. Partners invest in an intern who creates themed editorial streams for publication on the Culture24 website over a (typically) six month period.

We work with you to plan your editorial strategy then recruit a writer, usually from an NCTJ course. Our editor then trains, mentors and manages the intern over 6 months as they spend a day a week researching, writing and uploading content.

Partner organisations pay the intern and cover Culture24 costs. Key to the success of this scheme is that partners and interns both feel supported and are both benefitting from the experience in their different ways.

The Cornwall Museums group sponsored an internship in 2011. Find out more about the work of Culture24′s Cornwall intern, Ralph Gifford, and read the stories he’s filed at www.culture24.org.uk/cornwall.
