BBC partnership
Culture24 is the official cultural data provider to the BBC
Want to reach millions via the BBC website? This exciting data-sharing collaboration gives museums, galleries, libraries, heritage sites and other cultural organisations the opportunity to have their activities promoted on the BBC website. Culture24 channels information about your activities to the BBC Things To Do website, via our DDE database.
On this page you will find all you need to know about how to register for this free promotional partnership.
About the BBC Things To Do website
The website gives audiences the opportunity to find and engage with hands-on activities around the UK on a range of themes including Nature, History, Sports, Art, Craft and more.
To take advantage of this opportunity and get your events and activities out to a wider audience simply fill in our partner registration form.
The partnership is open to cultural organisations who:
- are publicly-funded or not-for-profit
- run activities that relate to BBC project themes (eg History, Art etc…)
- agree to Things To Do terms & conditions
For events or activities to feature on Things To Do they must:
- be free or cost-recovery
- be hands-on or participatory (eg workshop, guided walk or a talk with Q&A.)
- relate to a BBC project theme (in their subject matter)
- include a photo (see the Things To Do photoguide.)
You don’t have to be running specific BBC-themed events to become a partner or feature on Things To Do. All sorts of activities being put on by museums, galleries, heritage sites, science centres and other cultural venues fit with current BBC project themes. Details of the BBC’s current projects can be explored in more detail in the links below:
